Introducing the PHNX Trailblazer!
With input from riders, and plenty of testing, we are pleased to introduce the newest PHNX Board: The Trailblazer. The Trailblazer is a two level board - the bottom base board and the top binding/grip plate. This makes construction a bit easier and results in a sleeker look and feel. We added a little width to the front of the board for better float, a slight side-cut to help turn, and a "Slide-2-Switch" instead of "Click-2-Switch" binding for easier switching from regular to goofy riding. It's been a lot of work refining the concept, but we think PHNX riders will appreciate the effort. To thank you for your support, PHNX friends & family can get $30 off the Trailblazer by typing "PHRIENDS" in the coupon code at phnxboards.com, so feel free to pass along this newsletter. Is there ever TOO MUCH SNOW?
With all the storms hitting Boston, we've been spending way more time snow-blowing and shoveling than riding! With one of the snowiest winters on record, the snow has often been just too deep to move around in, let alone ride. So, what's a PHNX rider to do? Well, aside from making an igloo (see Tommy G. and his friends below), as one rider said, if the snow is too deep to move, you just need to move to a steeper hill! Great advice, and we've also found that once people start tracking out the hills, the loose snow is great and with enough speed you can motor through some of the deeper stuff.Another thing to do is develop a longer, wider, deep powder board, which is what we are currently working on. While the Trailblazer is great for most conditions, the recent storms have confirmed that it would be great to have a PHNX Board that excelled in the really deep stuff. Stay tuned for more information about this effort, and in the meantime enjoy the snow!
