Season over? No way...Snurfing April 5...in Boston!
In New England, die-hard resort riders can still visit Killington and Sunday River, but most people packed away their gear weeks ago. The beauty of a PHNX Board is that you can take advantage of early and late snowfalls whenever and wherever they occur, even when most resorts are closed, and without all the gear. So, when Boston received another 4 inches of snow on April 5, "Drone Joe" and I headed back to Arnold Arboretum for a couple of hours of fresh tracks, exercise, and fabulous views of the Boston skyline. With only a few folks at the hill, even though we arrived after work and it sits in a heavily populated area, once again we were amazed that people prefer to be packed into sweaty gyms for their exercise when the fresh-air outdoors is right there!
